Mission Statement
The Islamic Society of Vermont, Inc. was formed in 1995 for the following purposes:
- To expand and improve the Masjid
- To establish an Islamic School for Muslim children and adults
- To build an Islamic Cultural Center and Islamic Library
- To provide burial services for Muslims
- To acquire land for a cemetery and to maintain it
- To conduct marriages in the Islamic way
- To strengthen the bonds among Muslims in the State of Vermont
- To carry out religious, charitable, educational, literary, social and other activities pertaining to the realization of an Islamic way of life
- To make Islam and Muslims better understood by others
- To promote friendly relations with other religious groups and associations in the State of Vermont
- To cooperate with other organizations to advance these goals.
