Mission Statement

The Islamic Society of Vermont, Inc. was formed in 1995 for the following purposes:
  • To expand and improve the Masjid
  • To establish an Islamic School for Muslim children and adults
  • To build an Islamic Cultural Center and Islamic Library
  • To provide burial services for Muslims
  • To acquire land for a cemetery and to maintain it
  • To conduct marriages in the Islamic way
  • To strengthen the bonds among Muslims in the State of Vermont
  • To carry out religious, charitable, educational, literary, social and other activities pertaining to the realization of an Islamic way of life
  • To make Islam and Muslims better understood by others
  • To promote friendly relations with other religious groups and associations in the State of Vermont
  • To cooperate with other organizations to advance these goals.
